We help you keep your horse looking smart and feeling comfortable; and we provide your freshly laundered rugs in good quality bags to be stored for future use.

Mud Rugs - Line Separator

Jane started Mud Rugs in 2012 with the aim of providing an efficient, affordable equine rug wash service that horse owners could rely on. Her simple intent was to ensure her horsey clients got the service they demanded and deserved.

Significant investment followed with the setup of a dedicated washer unit, the purchase of modern efficient commercial washing machines with specialised drums that allow the rugs and detergents to move around freely, and the sourcing of quality products that work well and produce excellent results. Good quality bags were an obvious essential to allow clients to put their heavyweight rugs away till winter.

Rug repairs entered the mix after client requests became too many to ignore, and Jane searched for and found an excellent seamstress in the form of Jill, who can and does make an excellent job of all the rug repairs our horse owners send us.

Jane has over 20 years equestrian experience and is a horse owner herself. Today she runs a private yard and competes her own show horses. She has previously done quite well in affiliated British Dressage competitions and in unaffiliated show-jumping and equestrian eventing.
